After 24 hours of hard work, dedication, and support

I would like to announce that my new bathroom faucet is installed.

I was up against many challenges along the way. We lost a soldier in battle. RIP my hair dryer that I got second hand over a decade ago. We made friends- shoutout to the guy at Home Depot who showed me how to attach a supply line extension.

I’m full of relief. I’m not fully intact. I lost a nail during battle, and one of my fingers is still numb from trying to remove a plastic bolt.

The biggest shoutout to my dad, who supplied a diamond dremel bit, and then showed up this morning to finish dremeling when I gave up last night, too full of defeat to continue.

I present to you, a faucet that doesn’t leak 🥹

I'll be due for one soon, you being a plumber and all you can have the job😁
itsok · 31-35, F
@Virgo79 my dad said the hardest part for him wouldve been getting up underneath the sink. That doesn’t bother me yet
Virgo79 · 61-69, M

@itsok just teasing. You did great
ChiefJustWalks · 26-30
Hell yeah good work 👌 that's a nice faucet too. I hate how much they splash but they look nice & the water feels smooth
itsok · 31-35, F
@ChiefJustWalks my last one splashed sooo much, so I’m used to not turning the water up super high at this point 😅
Selah ·
I like that a lot.

Way to stick with it !
Well done, it looks great.❤
itsok · 31-35, F
@TangledUpInBlue thank you!
Wow, I could have done that so easily! 🙄 What I would have done is ..... call a guy to do it for me because I don't have the first clue about such things 👀

In other words, you're better than me 😖 lmao
itsok · 31-35, F
@ostfuidctyvm calling someone to do it was over $200, so I thought I can watch a YouTube video and become a professional myself 😌
@itsok You've done amazing tbh. I would have ended up fitting it the wrong way round and would most probably have glued my hand to the sink somehow
BillyMack · 46-50, M
Impressive. How did the Home Depot hubby search go?
itsok · 31-35, F
@BillyMack there were lots of men milling about, but I only talked to the guy who asked me if I needed help, and then got out of there
BillyMack · 46-50, M
@itsok probably a good call! Haha
chuck7882 · 61-69, M

Could you BE any more badass? Seriously cool and dang, is that a pretty faucet. Major kudos to ya ✋🏻
PerfectionOfTheHeart · 46-50, F
@itsok YouTube is your friend. And the local places, like your Home Depot. We have a mom and pop kind of hardware store in town that has helped me with so many projects. The knowledge of such pros is legit inspiring and they’re so good at walking you through some of the steps.

But the tools I acquired were inherited from my dad when he passed away. He was the main handyman for a large real estate company that also had rental units so he pretty much did the hard work of gathering the tools for me. Guess I really leaned into repairing things because it made me feel closer to him by using his tools and applying them as he would have. It’s just a whole category we all need to be skilled in to avoid those high repair costs as much as we can and to make us feel that extra 💪🏻
itsok · 31-35, F
@PerfectionOfTheHeart I love that so much. This year I’m also determined on learning how to do simple things to my car. I just learned how to change a tire, and I’m going to change my filters by myself soon.
PerfectionOfTheHeart · 46-50, F
@itsok I cannot heart that enough.
ohhh, and its pretty!
Kiesel · 56-60, M
Oh damn!!
Freaking awesome job!!
