Has a spoon ever dropped down your sink/disposal?

I took it out and sprayed it with antibacterial cleaning spray, then washed it with dish soap, then put it in dishwasher..but other utensils I've also just thrown away on the rare occasion ,if it fell down the dirty drain. Do you disinfect it or throw it away?

I don't have a disposal unit in the sink and I doubt a spoon would fit through the plughole grid anyway; but if it did a simple though thorough washing should be sufficient.
