Has a spoon ever dropped down your sink/disposal?

I took it out and sprayed it with antibacterial cleaning spray, then washed it with dish soap, then put it in dishwasher..but other utensils I've also just thrown away on the rare occasion ,if it fell down the dirty drain. Do you disinfect it or throw it away?

@Coralmist I just washed It and was put it back in the drawer. That's happened at least a half dozen times over the years. When I went to use it again I never got sick or anything.
