Has a spoon ever dropped down your sink/disposal?

I took it out and sprayed it with antibacterial cleaning spray, then washed it with dish soap, then put it in dishwasher..but other utensils I've also just thrown away on the rare occasion ,if it fell down the dirty drain. Do you disinfect it or throw it away?

Often enough I think 2/3 of our spoons have rough sharp edges from the disposal. Between the spoons and the forks that almost all have one tine bent askew, I think it's time to buy a new set of flatware.
