I don't like living here I'm in a town in the UK. I don't want to give my exact location. There's nothing to do here execpt the mall the pub or visit my family. I grew up here but I lived in East Sussex for six years. I wish I could go back there but i have too much stuff so it would be a hassle lol.

@RubiesandButterflies get rid of some of your stuff then move where you want

I like living here but I don’t love it.
I don’t want to move. At least not right now. My kids’ friends are all here, it’s my home, and it’s too expensive to move anyways. I might leave one day. It is overpopulated
It’s not boring; there are a lot of things to do here

I do, actually there are two places. The city that's my "hometown" and my birthtown where I used to spend summers as a kid.
I like these places but if I had a good reason to leave (a partner or a prospect of a good job) I would be gone in a heartbeat.

@CrazyMusicLover I always wished I had a place that I went to durin summers as a kid. Seems like everyone around me was always going places during summer. I never had any stories to tell once I got back to school after summer break.
What's there to do in your hometown/birth town?

@iamnikki My home city is surrounded by the woods where you can go hiking, there are some lakes you can swim in or do some water sports in, there are some seasonal events you can go to but it's nothing big. Things like summer cinema in a local amphitheatre, street food or wine festivals, some small live shows or a movie festival. Shows with big names are extremely rare. There are a few art galleries, a zoo, a botanical garden, a museum. We only have one main street that is usually very lively but not obnoxiously loud during the summer and around Christmas. There are outdoor restaurants and bars all along it. The only time the main street gets overcrowded is when some special event takes place that attracts more people than usual and it's very rare.
I don't know my birthtown that much but there's a big dam nearby where people go for vacations and you can swim in it, do water sports or sail a boat, there are also thermal spas with some attractions. There are also hills, forests, lakes where you can hike. I have honestly no idea if there's any nightlife right in the town but at the dam, there are loud parties in summer that can sometimes be heard all night long from far away. Of course, as kids we were usually spending most of the time in our grandparent's garden or we biked around the town. We used to bike around the dam as well but it was a really long trip.

@CrazyMusicLover Sounds like nice area. I have some of those things here too, but it's just not new/fresh anymore. I really need a change of scenery. Until then, guess I'll take backroads etc for scenery changes.

Yes, destiny brought me back to the city where I grew up. Just that I don't have the click that I grew up with, so just spending time at home. Living is quite easy and not boring. But I do wish to leave and awaiting the call by year end.

I grew up here until I was 9 and then moved all over the place. Been stuck here again since 2008 and I am so ready to be somewhere else.

I sort of live in in the same city, I used to live in the suburbs of my city and now I live in the actual city. the suburbs were super boring, I wouldn't live there but I love my city and the area where I am now. its awesome. I've been to many cities all over the world but it never sucks to come back.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@reflectingmonkey It always sucks when I come back from vacation 😄
Moving soon...

I do live in the town I grew up in. It's largely the same as it was, a quiet NYC suburb in NJ. Not a lot of things to do, really, but there doesn't have to be. It works for my life when all is said and done.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@Jenny1234 yes I still live here. It's things to do but I've done all that I'm interested in doing here.
I think about leaving all the time. I watch travel videos a lot so that I can feel like I've been somewhere and experienced something other than the boredom that is currently my life.
I would like to move to a new city or state even, but with the job market being the way it is, it's very difficult.
It's hard for me to even find a new job where I live. I feel like I'd be screwing myself trying to move solo to a new city or state.

Hours away. Slight changes..not significant or life altering. But still managing.
I live in the house I grew up in, in the city. I'm ready to leave.
