Very pretty 馃槉 Is that in the Netherlands? (the curve on the roof reminds me of Dutch architecture)

@SunshineGirl believe it or not i felt the same thing lol

@Convivial The Dutch gable end . . there is a port town near where I live where a whole road of houses was built with this feature in the 17th century . . influenced by Low Countries merchants.

@SunshineGirl thanks for doing the research lol

It has that quirkiness
SunshineGirl36-40, F
@Convivial They are bold, but homely at the same time. Well outside my price range unfortunately 馃槓

@SunshineGirl i think you lot, the English, were hiring it as mercenaries for the Dutch with their little fracas with the Spanish about then... Be interesting if the houses were linked into that
SunshineGirl36-40, F
@Convivial Could be. The Dutch Republic was very outward looking during its brief tenure and England was its natural ally.

@SunshineGirl yup... It's their drink, which you guys called gin, that gave rise to the term Dutch courage... Liberally applied internally before battle馃ぃ

@SunshineGirl I can see why this reminds you of the Netherlands, but this is in Barcelona.

@SunshineGirl I don't know where exactly, but you're right, the design does look Dutch.

@NerdyPotato Thanks, I would never have placed it there. Do you think it is Dutch influenced? (Barcelona being an important trading city in the past)
NerdyPotatoM
@SunshineGirl I don't know... This house, and Park G眉ell in which is located, was designed by Gaudi who was inspired by nature. Perhaps the Dutch style was inspired by that too and not so much on Gaudi or vice versa.
