Another day, another toilet clogging incident

After 50+ attempts with the plunger, we are attempting the baking soda and vinegar method

Edit: 2 days later and still clogged, tried the baking soda and vinegar method and everything. Might have to get a plumber.

How large are your droppings girl?
Zeuro · 26-30, F
@SW-User too large apparently

@Zeuro Your bowels deserve a standing ovation then.
ABCDEF7 · M
You may need more effective plunger and/or the technique to effectively use it. All the best !
ABCDEF7 · M
@Zeuro You must help her to get it cleared.
Zeuro · 26-30, F
@ABCDEF7 I’m trying, but I’m no plumber so idrk what to do

@SW-User uh not sure how we’d get it in the house
@SW-User That will just overflow the toilet.
Zeusdelight · 61-69, M
It is the worst thing, it gives you the shits, and you can't do too much about that until the first issue is resolved:)

(PS: If it is is clogged by toilet paper, it is designed to break down in water, so time will assist:)

How confident are you that you're using the plunger right? You need the flange part pulled out. It shouldn't make a 1/2 circle, should have a tube bit sticking out.
Zeuro · 26-30, F
@Thespis my mom is basically an expert plunger user by now and even she can’t get it

Have you thought of trying a drain snake?
Nelladell · 80-89, F
@LeopoldBloom My apologies. I did not read the earlier comments carefully enough.
@Nelladell Actually, I think yours was first. I always called it a "WC auger," don't know why, maybe the first plumber who showed me one called it that. "Toilet snake" would be the most accurate term but no one calls it that.
Nelladell · 80-89, F
@LeopoldBloom I didn't know much (or anything) about the terminology. Thank you.
When that happens, I use a WC auger. $37 on Amazon.

Zeuro · 26-30, F
@LeopoldBloom I will definitely look into this, thanks!

As @InHeaven suggested...hot boiling water ....lots of it.

Grease is the number one thing to block drains....iy slowly lines the pipes and stops stuff moving through .

So ...heating iy up and melting some of it works .

So does using detegent mixed with washing powder....poired down after the hot water ....amd let sit all night - has tone to work into tj4 grease.
Next morning...two buckets of boiling water again .
(And some more plunging while the pipe is warm)

Carb soda and vinegar only work if the build up isnt too bad .
Zeuro · 26-30, F
@OogieBoogie okay, but it’s not grease that caused the blockage, it’s doodoo
@Zeuro doodoo's are made of more fats than you realise.

I know ....i work at a highschool....as a cleaner 😫😂
Zeuro · 26-30, F
@OogieBoogie ah okay, well after the baking soda and vinegar fizz goes down the instructions say to add hot water
pancakeslam · 41-45, M
good luck..you're gonna need it

get some of this from Home Depot. I had a few bricks block up my toilet. Throw a bottle of this down before going to bed, flushed right now next morning, had no problems since.
