Do you agree America should reopen for business?

Seems highly premature to me.
On Thursday, 4591 people died over a 24 hour period in the US.
Why the rush to reopen?
Every Country is hurting but are not ready to take the monumental risk of spreading the disease which is still very active in many places.
Australia has virtually shut down, most businesses are going to be badly affected, many may close for good.
But we can see that a premature resumption could be catastrophic.
I sincerely hope that this desire to reopen does not open the Virus Pandora's Box and lead to a further surge of infections and death.
Stay safe everyone.

America is used to death, their gun culture, mass shooting, what's 40,000 to a virus?
Only if we want to see more death
Which it seems a few loud voices do.

Not if it's putting lives at risk.

As long as everyone who wants to does it with eyes wide open, with no one being forced.

I would think that situations with densely concentrated crowds should wait ... like schools, crowded transportation hubs, etc.

With cheap gas now, airlines can probably start flying with spacing, like reduced passenger loads by 65%+, with everyone being 6'+ apart. Likewise for trains and busses.

Seperation for restaurant patients, likewise.

Restoring to what we thought of as normal will take time, lots of time.

Oh yes, and bring back night clubs and dancehalls. Dancing couples would have to be 6' apart, like it was at my high school.

It’ll be higher here as they uncover more dead bodies not found yet. Not so sure we’re 11 days from reopening.
So much of our economy in america has not closed and cannot close because people need stuff. As for "reopening", more important than stay at home orders are the desires of the citizenry. Will customers flock to stores that have been closed recently? lets give it a shot and find out.

@BiasForAction What chance of stampedes at newly opened stores.
What chance of social distancing rules being completely thrown out with the bath water.
I can see a catastrophe emerging but if the US citizens think they are ready, then it is their choice
@Gusman I see catastrophe when 25% of Americans don't have jobs, and this number is going up every week. There is quite a toll on morbidity and mortality when people are jobless.

Nowhere should. It'd be sentencing thousands more to death.

Open it up. People are not doing as they are told, they ar out and about. The store shelves are empty. Domestic violence is on the rise, robberies on the rise, child abuse on the rise. Most of those deaths are elderly that died of heart failure and many are "assumed" to have had the virus.

It will, but it's what you all wanted, your country is full of stupid decisions 🤷‍♀️
