what does it mean if your fridge is making a rattling/ticking noise?

It's come from inside the fridge near the light bulb.

It must be made by GE

@blindbob I have one, if I hadn't paid $2400 for it, I'd dynamite the damn thing - the repair guy couldn't eliminate the noises, but I've dissassembled it and cut pieces off the cowling by the fan to make it quieter, but it still finds other ways to make noises...ugh

@fun4us2b ok so the sounds are not a sign of a problem? it seems to be cooling just fine.

@blindbob In my case, the noise is an annoyance - I basically kick it every tie I walk past it...which oddly silences it...
its struggling.. change the seal.

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout what does the door seal have to do with the motor?
@blindbob the motor is running continuously by the sounds. which means the cool air is escaping..
