PSA for the Midwesterners in this heat wave

Fans use, at MOST, 100 watts of power, while central AC units use 3500 watts of power while they are running. If you want to save some money, turn the temperature a few degrees warmer (leave it low-enough that the AC runs enough to keep the humidity low enough) and use a fan when you can to make it feel just as cool. Note: this won't work when the temp outside isn't very hot, because the AC won't run enough to remove humidity and create a cooling draft effect.

@33person my smoke alarm went of yesterday and wouldn't stop , i aimed 2 stand fans on it and it was still making that Ear piercing sound so i beat it to Death with a Hammer and it gave out one last Shreek and Finally Died

@FurryFace Ours has a battery, so we could just take out the battery if it did that.

@33person it was installed too high up the wall i could barely reach it with the Hammer , my first bashing knocked it off the wall but it was still going , so bam another time , still going WTF ! , bashh basshhh baaassssshhhh ! finally its dead
