Not necessarily but it’s usually easier to leave a single wall of the structure in place, in that case the project becomes a renovation instead of a rebuild and permits are easier to get

@Onestarlitnight So what you are telling me is that if you want to build a brand new place,it would be easiest of all-in terms of getting the necessary permits -to simply buy an empty tract of land and start from there.
