Nope ..
I wouldn’t even pull it out the trash ..
But to someone it might be a treasure ,
Like the garland on a torture chamber lol
rckt148 · 61-69, M
@RocktheHouse

rckt148 · 61-69, M
@cherokeepatti

I’ll keep that in mind ..
Missed you my dear friend
Hope all is well with you ,,
And you don’t need that chair LOL
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@rckt148 nope i don’t need that chair, just thought it was interesting

FrozenWasteland · 61-69, M
Well, I've been looking for a new visitor's chair for the dungeon. Looks like that one might do the trick.

Clearly, the one I have now is too comfy. People stay too long.

Vintage to antique... birthing chair. I knew that as soon as I saw it.
Funny how things have changed and women are expected to stay in bed even though it's not the best way.
EDIT: would I buy it? If I were going to have children, I'd give it thought and research how it was used... or if a daughter wanted it... I'd buy it. :)
SW-User
@ShadowSister I've never used one but agree about the handles. I would think women had more say in what felt right and worked better for them personally than what many get today... being somewhat told to do what others think is best. My understanding is beds became the new way because it was easier for the doctor to see what was going on... not really about what worked for the woman.
ShadowSister · 46-50, F
@SW-User Agreed. In the old days, midwifes worked with the women to feel what worked with their bodies. These days we think we've made so many medical advances, but we prioritize drugs and the convenience of the doctor over the natural signals from the woman's body. I have been my sister-in-law's partner through her birth with a midwife in her home. The difference was night-and-day.
SW-User
@ShadowSister I'll bet it was quite the difference!
I even had a nurse tell me I was not in labor and really made me mad! I had my baby three hours later and nobody was ready! lol
I'd like to know when others decided they knew our bodies better than we do and knew what works best too.

It puts the lotion on it's skin or it gets the hose again ....this is what this chair is saying to me
If guests need to sit in it they won't stay long. Worth every penny
@SooperSarah
Oh. I could think of one or two ways to stay chained on that chair. Just saying. 🤷🏼‍♀️
No. It looks more like some kind of torture device.
ShadowSister · 46-50, F
@PhoenixPhail Or something kinky at least 🤭
@ShadowSister I was thinking that, too. 😈
TurtlePink · 22-25, F
Fuk no, it’d break
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@TurtlePink it’s been well-used and never broke.
Think how many new lives it's helped into this world..
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Majorlatency it’s interesting but I have no room for things like this.
@cherokeepatti Ha ha, same here but it would be an interesting conversation piece!
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Majorlatency If I had space and was into collecting antiques it’d be a good one to have.
SW-User
[c=4C0073]kinda looks like something from the medieval ages used for some kinky tingz[/c]
SW-User
@cherokeepatti [c=4C0073]that has got to be uncomfortable births 🤔[/c]
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@SW-User laying flat on the back is not a good birthing position either
SW-User
@cherokeepatti [c=4C0073]yes indeed i agree[/c]
4meAndyou · F
Looks like an antique birthing stool. It has a beautiful look to it...very worn and aged beautifully. No, I would not pay $245 for it, but an admirer of antiques might.
TexChik · F
Milking stool?
TexChik · F
@cherokeepatti absolutely. Probably just soap, water , or mescal
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@TexChik maybe Fabulosa too
TexChik · F
@cherokeepatti I use that now
sasanack · 61-69, M
well it is obviously antique what do you know about it?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@sasanack It’s a Mexican birthing chair. I imagine it would be a good conversation piece for a OB-GYN.
sasanack · 61-69, M
@cherokeepatti no idea of how old it is it looks like it be a least 100 years old , but what do I know sweet f a 🙃
SW-User
Lol who the hell is supposed to sit on that thing?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@SW-User a woman about to give birth
SW-User
Yikesss @cherokeepatti
@cherokeepatti Oh okay, I have other uses for it😏
Nanoose · 61-69, M
$245 seems like a steal - that's a cool looking chair. Chees!
Carla · 61-69, F
If it was old enough and had a recognizable designer, sure.
Resale!
Ramrod · 46-50, M
Hell no,but maybe it's a collectors item ???
Elena05 · F

Forgetmeknot · 41-45
Dino11 · M
An antique?
SW-User
No it's ugly and looks like some torturing device 🧐
SW-User
@cherokeepatti jeepers 😮
@cherokeepatti There must be a shortage of beds in Mexico.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@PhoenixPhail giving birth flat on the back is not the best
Azlotto · M
I would not.

Yes because I bet I can sell it for $10,000. That old chair is probably worth some money. Probably came over on the Mayflower or White Lion
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@RocktheHouse well it came from Mexico so I doubt it was on the Mayflower
@cherokeepatti 😂 Do you own this chair?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@RocktheHouse no I saw it posted on FB for sale
