I self brainwashed myself into believing I was going to die I didn't quit. First 3 days were the hardest

@HumanEarth Oh for sure, the first week is the worst. Part of the reason I don't want to smoke again is that all that would be in vain.

@JimboSaturn I kept track on the calendar of how days clean I was. I treated myself like I was a drug addict.
