What is the coolest thing you bought in 2020? [I Wish Everyone a Happy New Year]

@Spokeskitties75 damn boy! I had a range and microwave ordered since October and they keep pushing me off until I said fuck it.... cancel it!
Soooo now I’ll have to wait and look again and order one at a time..... cause if you buy more than one appliance they will not deliver til both are there and ready but in the meantime they will fill other orders with the appliance that are there and by the time the back order item is in the other is gone and you end up waiting again..... my temper got the best of me and I cancelled and got my money back .... 🙄

@cherokeepatti It's perfectly cooked after 15 minutes in the pressure cooker...but then you want to brush it with oil and crisp the skin, and that is like baking it for 15 minutes in a small 400 degree oven. You could not fit an oven stuffer roaster in there, by any means.

@cherokeepatti It was the first time I tried to use it. I stalled because I didn't read the directions when I first got it. It's a steamer, so you can steam anything you want. I want to try air frying sweet potatoes in it. It's a pressure cooker, so you can cut down cooking time on almost anything, casseroles, and even cakes!

It's also a crock pot, so I can use it for long, slow cooking to develop flavors. All fish and seafood can be cooked in a pressure cooker, and on Master Chef, I noted one of the cooks who was able to make risotto in the allotted time pressure cooked the rice first, and then sauteed it as you normally would.

@Bella112 I mean they were introduced in 2006 for a price tag of 600$. Most of the units died or were scrapped.

Given how rare these are, these may shoot up in value and even if they don't, it's cool to own a weird piece of history.

@Stereoguy got all sorts of recipes off of Pinterest, maybe make Cinnamon Roll Waffles or Churro Waffles for the boy some time

The memories are very strong and the new packaged ones don’t come close to the fresh ones I ate in my youth. They were larger with huge grains of sugar and cinnamon mixed in.
