Which topping might be best?

I bought strawberry cake mix, it was on sale. I haven't had strawberry cake in Years! I think I'll do cupcakes soon, and maybe for Easter. I saw Vanilla frosting on shelf near it, or Cream cheese frosting, or Chocolate. I ended up buying Cool whip to top them with , but I can always get frosting soon. Which do you think would be best on top?

Being a diabetic i dont eat much cake but i think all of them would go good with a strawberry cake.

I don't like artificial strawberry tasting things - like milkshake. I think I'd be inclined to try whipped cream and top with real strawberries but cream cheese might be nice too.
