What was your best Christmas present this year?

Mine was a brief note from a young Ukrainian woman and her two daughters. She wrote thanking my wife and I for helping her out during a very very difficult time in her life. We are so blessed when we can help others in their time of need.

Not the gift itself, but the card that came with the gift from my oldest sis and her family. It made me cry happy tears all 3 times I read it, and I put it on my nightstand as a reminder I'm doing something right with my life no matter how lost I feel.

@Diotrephes I wasn't doing a charitable deed. I was helping a fellow human being get through a rough spot in life. I never viewed myself as being superior or somehow giving. I was simply helping. No different than pushing my neighbour's car out of a snow bank. Her words were "You were the heart of Jesus when I needed it most."
Being able to have Christmas dinner with all my kids, grandson, girlfriend and my parents. First time they have all been together in a few yrs.

Matthew 6:3-4 (NKJV) = "3 But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you [a]openly."
