I had to laugh. My daughter-in-law put hers up a couple days before Halloween. But in her defense she's pregnant and due in early December so it's easier for her now.

Myself, I prefer a couple weeks before Christmas. The "special-ness" of the holidays wears off for me if it's up too long.

I live my myself now and have a cat who likes to climb thinks. I won't be putting up a tree this year.

The spirit isn't with me. Given the turmoil of the divorce now and the charade Christmas was turned into over the years, its probably gonna take having grandkids to get it back.

Do as you wish is what I say, but for me the Christmas decorations go up the day after Thanksgiving and come down after New Years Eve.

Well, can’t afford a christmas tree this year. So I am stacking up KFC buckets and decorating them.

I usually put it up after Halloween, but I’ve been dragging my feet this year. I see it being done this week though.
