After Saint Nicolas day

WindTherapy · 56-60, M
I had to laugh. My daughter-in-law put hers up a couple days before Halloween. But in her defense she's pregnant and due in early December so it's easier for her now.

Myself, I prefer a couple weeks before Christmas. The "special-ness" of the holidays wears off for me if it's up too long.
HowtoDestroyAngels · 46-50, M
I live my myself now and have a cat who likes to climb thinks. I won't be putting up a tree this year.
The spirit isn't with me. Given the turmoil of the divorce now and the charade Christmas was turned into over the years, its probably gonna take having grandkids to get it back.
skmokisses · 46-50, F
@BrandNewMan I can totally relate to this. I didn't do a tree the first Christmas during my divorce.
WillaKissing · 56-60, M
Do as you wish is what I say, but for me the Christmas decorations go up the day after Thanksgiving and come down after New Years Eve.
EmpaEmpa · 46-50, M
Well, can’t afford a christmas tree this year. So I am stacking up KFC buckets and decorating them.
PerfectionOfTheHeart · 46-50, F
I usually put it up after Halloween, but I’ve been dragging my feet this year. I see it being done this week though.
skmokisses · 46-50, F
@PerfectionOfTheHeart I'm thinking I might get mine up this weekend as well.
Prince0217 · M
Just on the side: There was Christmas quiz question on how many days should they have the Christmas tree up for? I can't remember the answer.
skmokisses · 46-50, F
@Prince0217 I haven't been on much in the last couple months, musta missed it.
After Thanksgiving
ineedadrink · 51-55, M
Around Dec 20th, if it's like most years.
ineedadrink · 51-55, M
@skmokisses Last several years I've used an artificial.
skmokisses · 46-50, F
@ineedadrink Oh okay, I thought since you only put it up a couple day before that perhaps it was real. I've used an artificial for years myself ever since I had an allergic reaction one year to a real one.
ineedadrink · 51-55, M
@skmokisses I remember one year when I lived I FL, I bought a live tree Dec 23rd for $5. The original price was over $100. The sales kid couldn't believe I was taking this dried out twig home. But hey, it was a last-minute decision & a great price. 😅
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
I put my tree out the day after thanksgiving
YoMomma ·
We had one in the 90’s 😅
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
I never like to real early, i get tired of looking at it.
skmokisses · 46-50, F
@Virgo79 For me it's the opposite ..... I find myself wishing I'd put it up earlier because I wanted to see it up longer.
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
@skmokisses go for it🙂
Thrust · 56-60, M
I always do the day after Christmas. Not only is the tree free, it already has tinsel 👍
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
Our Thanksgiving is in early October. Kinda early to put up a Christmas tree.
JustEd · 41-45, M
It’s up now. Just not decorated yet
QCDog2659 · 61-69, M
Go ahead.

Put it up!!
Is Dec 1st too late/early?
Ambroseguy80 · 56-60, M
Usually after, sometimes on, never before. ;)
BillyMack · 46-50, M
Tree is up. Not yet decorated. So it’s like a semi.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@Ambroseguy80 except for her.
tobynshorty · 51-55, F
@Ambroseguy80 get the skank away from the tree😠
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@tobynshorty Nooo... put a bow on her. 😬
