The last house cat that I had loved to stare at lit candles. So I’d light one on the coffee table and she would lay on the sofa and watch it in the evening.
@beermeplease One summer I wanted to light some candles for her but didn’t want the extra heat in the apartment. So I lit 3 candles (in candle holders) and set them on the other side of my sliding patio door and closed it. Put a half-moon shaped rug inside so she could lay on it and watch the candles. It was night time so I turned off the living room lights. She walked straight to the patio door and laid down on the rug and watched those candles.
@Frostcloud aw thanks...she brightens my day every morning when i wake up and when i come home from work....she greets me like a dog would but only cat-like
@Jenny1234 haha...we keep those items on there as a barrier so she doesnt sit on it. don't want her fur going inside. but it doesn't stop her 😹...yeah i'll get her more catnip 😏
@beermeplease Going by the expression on her face, I'd have said that she was more suspicious of the changes than thrilled - especially considering that the house won't look like that year round.
I know that my boy will shout at the snow when it snows because he doesn't see it very often.
