Anyone else not looking forward to your regular Christmas get together with family this year?

I'm not, but I'll fake it for the kids.

I am apprehensive. My wife is in care with dementia, but my daughter (who is bravely hosting the whole thing) has told the home she will be picking her up and dropping her back later in the day. I am in a moon boot and on a walking frame post operatively for almost a month. So I will need to be picked up, dropped off and managed as well. And my son and daughter arent playing "speaks" right now, due to creative difference. Nothing to see here folks ..😷

@morrgin You do you. I could be worried about nothing. It might all go swimmingly. I hope so. My daughter has had one hell of a year.. But I hope you have a better one than you fear. Remember. 90% of the things we worry about will never happen..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman There is no such thing as a 'perfect' family hey. Anyone who pretends there is, or tries to present such, is fibonacci-ing. Christian 'influencers' on Youtube/tik-tok/instagram (esp the mormon ones) try to make our their families are 'textbook' - ewww

@zonavar68 I know that and in the scheme of things I have been very fortunate. But all family gatherings are potential minefields. "This too shall pass"..😷
