Anyone else not looking forward to the upcoming holidays?

In the future, I dream of going elsewhere for the holidays. Like another country that doesn't even celebrate xyz holiday, so that when I go, I hear no mention of it.

I'm over obligatory family gatherings.
Time to do my own thing.

I'd like to hibernate through all winter holidays, wake up in March, then hibernate again through summer (starting in July) and not wake again til September.

Well on one hand I love the lights, the merriness, the music...but I don't see much of my family anymore around Christmas ..plus I'm broke so I won't be able to do much giving/shopping. 🙁It sucks. But I try to enjoy the little things still.

@iamnikki I hate the work, the expense, and most of all that it turns people into materialistic monsters. The malls are hell. The people are angry. What is there to like?
