All my years in retail I still can't get used to this

Can't we at least get to Patriots Day before we do Christmas? Christ, by the time it's Patriots Day they will have us putting Easter out. 🙄😆

Boardrooms in retail are probably panicking like mad as their warehouses are well stocked with stuff they should have sold two years ago but couldn't due to covid.
Commitment to buy junk for the junk holidays means there'll be a glut of cr*p they can't sell as the Christmas cr*p hits the warehouses !
And THAT will happen EARLIER if they get a sense that Christmas sales are likely to be down to to the poor spending figures over the last year or two.

I thought it bad enough to see the pumpkin stands for Halloween going up last week. I had barely gotten used to Halloween arriving in September and now it already is into August. And everyone knows the Christmas season, which used to start at the end of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, now precedes the actual Halloween.

They know people are spending double what they were to get by, guess they figure the longer its out there the better chance someone will buy it
