I Think This Might Be The Year When Gifts Of Food Will Become The Trend For Christmas Gift-Giving…

With looming food shortages due to food processing facilities being destroyed by fires or whatever and floods wiping out crops and stored grains etc.
Food baskets with beans, rice, potatoes & other staples. I don’t know how many are stocking up and trying to figure out what they need but it will get critical eventually.

This year hunters can get free deer processing if they donate 50% of their meat at certain shops

@MarineBob The hunting seasons will go out the window when people are hungry.

@Atlotto plenty of squirrels and Canada geese here that needs to be thinned out. The geese seem to be an invasive species and they multiply a lot

@Atlotto Damn squirrels eat all my pecans and go to the figs too

@cherokeepatti I'd invest in an airgun. Squirrel meat is tasty.

@Atlotto hehe the boy is target 🎯 practicing as we speak with one. Might be a good gift for him. Hits the target on a cardboard box and makes good size dents n a board that is inside the box. It belongs to someone who works at the used car lot I used to work at

@cherokeepatti maybe we should hunt Cherokeepatti's for supper , hmmm
Atlotto · M
@FurryFace I heard raccoons are good eats. 😉

@Atlotto My neighbor was trapping for furs one winter and he had caught raccoons. One evening after skinning the animals he was drinking and decided to put a raccoon in the smoker. He calls my husband over and I watched him take his knife and slice off a piece and eat it and he said it tasted just like smoked ham. He smoked a few of them after them. The possums he saved up in a big trash bag in his deep freeze and when he got 20-30 he would take them to a man he worked with who paid him $2 each…paid for his diesel fuel for his little Luv truck that he used to make his trapping rounds every evening.

@cherokeepatti Interesting...I wonder what the man did with the possums...I'd have to be starving before I'd eat one.

@Atlotto He roasted them with sweet potatoes, possums are really greasy. I can’t imagine them smelling good since they eat everything including garbage, cat crap, venomous snakes, etc
