Why does Randy Newman always sound drunk when he sings?

Lol Maybe he is. I like listening to Joe Cocker and he always sounded high as kite to me 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I think he's supposed to sound "bluesy." Elton John, Cher, Michael Mcdonald, also sound phony like that.
