This model is made of resin, which used to be called Finecast and shouldn't be confused with the much nicer Forgeworld resin. This used to have a major issue with air bubbles ruining models, back in the early-mid 2010s, but this one has only one small one on its sword which is easy to fix and also works with yhe blade looking pitted and old and poorly maintained as a troll slaved to Sauron would likely have. The bigger issue is the gaps around the joins of the pieces, which can be fixed relatively easily with Liquid Green Stuff but are still annoying. I'm glad this material is on the way out.
@Mindfulness Me too lol. But I can't do anything until the Liquid Green Stuff I used to fill the gaps is fully cured after about 24 hours. So tomorrow night I'll do the rest of the cleanup work and then he'll get sprayed up in silver at some point.
perhaps weirdly, i kinda like the effect on your... for lack of more appropriate terms, newspaper dropcloth? whatever you're using to protect the worktable surface. gives me ideas for art attempts.
