@KiwiDan So I assume that is some faction in the game and it will be red? Do you have other collections as well or just starting with them. I thought about getting into 40k a long time ago but don't think I have the patience for building an army literally lol

@Silentpleasure Crimson Fists are dark blue with red hands. And you don't need to build an army necessarily, a lot of people just paint them for the fun of it.

@KiwiDan Crimson fists makes so much more sense now lol. Do you actually play the game in those huge battle fields?

@Silentpleasure sometimes I do, but I don't get the chance to very often. I wish I could more often though.

@Silentpleasure I did it at work, and I work Wednesday to Sunday, but most of the people I know play on a Sunday during the day.

@Silentpleasure I used to do Ultramarines (the ones on the box) but I didn't know where to get GW paint from when I was starting out and had to use Tamiya stuff. Their blue was the same colour as the Crimson Fists so I switched, and liked it better so I stuck with it ever since

@KiwiDan So you don't get a special bonus or something? I know with Orc's, anything red gives them +10% speed or something like that.

@Silentpleasure No, nothing like that. Rules like that don't exist in the current ruleset anyway, it uses themed detachments with special rules attached to them which match the theme.

@KiwiDan Do you own any of the really cool massive mechs or ships?

Dang I guess its been a while since I talked to anyone about this game. Too bad you don't get like a +% buff for going hand to hand with crimson fists :D

@Silentpleasure I have a couple of dreadnoughts (space marine robot-looking things) but nothing bigger than that. Especially not the gigantic resin titans made by Forge World.

Crimson Fists' entire thing is fighting no matter the odds, and fighting the Orks since they invaded the Fists' homeworld of Rynn's World in 989.M41 and the Crimson Fusts were nearly wiped out. I think their named character Pedro Kantor gives a buff to understrength units (or targeting them maybe?) but there's nothing specific to them.

@KiwiDan Oh that is cool. Do you have photos of those units?

Wow the lore really goes deep in this game. Wasn't expecting year markers for events and certain named soldiers 😁

@Silentpleasure you can actually look them up on Warhammer.com where they've got them on sale (not saying to buy one, but they tend to have images of the painted models).

Yeah the background runs extremely deep. Maybe too deep.

@Silentpleasure any time :) and while I don't know where you live, if you want to have a go at building/painting/playing the game, you can go into a Warhammer store and they can give you a free Space Marine or Stormcast Eternal for you to gave a go with. I know this because I work at the one in my city here in NZ and we offer that.

@Silentpleasure lol the free ones don't need glue, and the glue we use now is plastic glue so it can't glue your hands together!
