Day one of the Warhammer 40000 tournament is over

I played and lost two games. I did not lose by the maximum margin (I lost 19-1 instead of 20-0), but as my teammates pointed out I still scored SOMETHING, so I'm proud of myself for that. I'm also now even more certain that tournaments are not for me - they're too competitive and it stops feeling like a wargame when there's like 8 buildings in a symmetrical mirrored pattern on every table. Tomorrow is the second (and last) day with another two games, so we'll see how that goes.

I saw some tournament games back in the day. Those who do that regularly game the system and the rulebook for all its worth. You have to do that to win. It ceases being immersive when that happens.

@Burnley123 It does. I'd rather play on a thematic table with smaller armies against friends than on the wtc monstrosities afainst sweaty try-hards
