I've been considering what colours to paint my Cathay models

I know I want to do silver armour with gold details, and a green on the plumes and cloth, and brown on the leather armour and wood. I'm considering doing the under-cloth in a bone or light colour like Rakarth Flesh or Ushabti Bone. I also want to do the straps, boots, and weapon handles (and maybe the poles on the banners and lances instead of brown?) in Corvus Black. I wouldn't mind using a red on the symbols and gems, but I'm not sure how bright to take it.
