Very good print

@Teirdalin Print?
Teirdalin · 31-35
@KiwiDan The way it was made, I instantly recognize the standard white pla material.

@Teirdalin This is Forgeworld resin...
Teirdalin · 31-35
@KiwiDan oooh, well resin models are still printed either way now. Although probably significant more durable. I really gotta try one of those printers someday as it's so cool how it just turns liquid into a model.
KiwiDan · 31-35, M
@Teirdalin That is cool, and the masters are 3D printed, but this particular model is spin-cast
Teirdalin · 31-35
@KiwiDan ooooooooooh, how is spincasting done?
KiwiDan · 31-35, M
@Teirdalin You have your 2-piece mould, which has the resin injected into it and uses centrifugal force to spread it around.
Teirdalin · 31-35
@KiwiDan That's actually pretty cool, and sounds way faster than standard printing too. Although I can imagine that making more duds than the printer would when doing very fine details.
KiwiDan · 31-35, M
@Teirdalin Potentially, but I've never seen any true duds, especially on the more recent Forgeworld models
