this years possible 1st overall pick in the nhl draft charged with felony assault...

18 y/o canadian gavin mckenna who plays for penn state was at a campus bar with some of his team mates and punched someone twice breaking their jaw...my question is, are 18 y/o "kids" allowed at a bar where legal drinking age is 21? ..... i'll follow this story...

Maybe allowed if they’re not drinking alcohol. Depends on location. In New Brunswick, a minor can drink alcohol in an establishment under their parents supervision. I don’t know if it’s the same for other provinces.
@Jenny1234 yeah but penn state is in the us. if convicted he could get 20 years

@beermeplease He won't get any substantial prison time, if any.

@beermeplease If its his first offense and there are mitigating factors, of which are almost always the case, then he'll get a slap on the wrist and warned about future offenses.
Hockey is a dangerous, physical, contentious sport.
@Vin53 but it had nothing to do with hockey...he was supposedly caught on video punching someone in the face outside a bar. he is also charged with other offenses including simple assault and harassment....we'll see what happens
