18 y/o canadian gavin mckenna who plays for penn state was at a campus bar with some of his team mates and punched someone twice breaking their jaw...my question is, are 18 y/o "kids" allowed at a bar where legal drinking age is 21? ..... i'll follow this story...

Maybe allowed if they’re not drinking alcohol. Depends on location. In New Brunswick, a minor can drink alcohol in an establishment under their parents supervision. I don’t know if it’s the same for other provinces.
@Vin53 how do you know?

@beermeplease If its his first offense and there are mitigating factors, of which are almost always the case, then he'll get a slap on the wrist and warned about future offenses.
Hockey is a dangerous, physical, contentious sport.
@Vin53 but it had nothing to do with hockey...he was supposedly caught on video punching someone in the face outside a bar. he is also charged with other offenses including simple assault and harassment....we'll see what happens

You’re right, he shouldn’t have been in there
@FreeorLonely just like the 5 junior hockey players in london ontario charged with rape. they were all found innocent...it baffles me why the assailant pressed charges when the evidence was heavily against her...but their careers are still screwed even though they were innocent

In some states it's okay.
