Dr. Watson's Home Economics class

I have a plain, light windbreaker. It is getting old. The inner lining has become torn and is partly torn away from the outer fabric. it is so twisted up that when I put the thing on, it feels like I am wearing a straight jacket.

So I went shopping. All I can find in stores are jackets that are more heavy-duty and more expensive than what I want.

Finally, I mended it myself, using this:

A man after my own heart. I learned that stapling a gaping skirt hem works, but it's hard on stockings.
@DrWatson Mugger defense!

@Mamapolo2016 Perhaps you and I should open up a tailor shop. We can advertise, "Fastest Turnaround Time in Town!"
@DrWatson Okay, but you handle the books.

I bought a cheap sewing kit on amazon and watched some YouTube videos so I could put on a button and stitch up some simple things.

@originnone I've actually sewn on a few buttons too. Although there have been times when I lost a button and used a safety pin!
