These people who decide their life is as struggle against “They/Them”…

Is it because the normal pattern of life of finding a line of work you enjoy, finding someone to love and have fun with, making a home you’re happy and comfortable in, staying close and supportive of your family - hasn’t worked out for them?

Do people invent crusades for them to take to social media to give themselves a sense of purpose?

It could be that, maybe.

But honestly this governmental/economic system that we live in is making it increasingly harder to do those things you've listed, harder than it has been in decades, and i think that has a lot to do with it too.

Yes a lot of people invent shit to get mad about but when this many people are this unsatisfied with the way things are then i dont think that cuts it as an explanation.

With all this smoke there is bound to be some fire somewhere.
@Eternity No that sounds like an excuse to me. People want more and more for less effort.

@ShellSeeker even if we indulge the intergenerational ire that has been commonplace and well documented since ancient greek times (old people and young people dont like each other so they each tend to dismiss the complaints of the other) what about the old people who worked hard their whole lives and are rotting in nursing homes?

What about the veterans who are homeless on the streets? They didn't work hard enough?

What about the recent college graduates who did everything their teachers told them to do: go to college, intern, try hard, yet still don't have meaningful employment in their fields that will put a dent in their student loans?

No. The fact of the matter is that the USA is not living up to the promises it made of opportunity.

No amount of work is enough to satisfy the bottomless pit of greed. We know this because a generation tried that and got bed sores, destitution, and/or PTSD as their reward.

The working class is rightfully disgruntled. We will not get better conditions unless we demand them.
@Eternity All of that up there is nonsense. Your posts don’t help any of those situations one jot. Those people aren’t here speaking for themselves. And people pretending to carry the baton for them are just lonely attention seekers.

@ShellSeeker you are overgeneralizing. These things are well documented and any normal member of the work force can see this.

I am a tradesman and a small business owner and I see this. Every day.

I get the feeling that you are a highly sheltered individual. Possibly resentful. And maybe have trouble understanding realities that are not your own; a lack of perspective.
@Eternity I have to be sheltered not to support your point do I?

I like this game. Make some more assumptions about me.

I know you do. It's the one you chose to play. I just decided to play along as I saw that dialogue wont accomplish much.

You see what you choose to see; not the truth.
@Eternity There’s no game. You’ve just said something foolish you can’t substantiate but you needed to say something- so you said this twaddle

@Eternity Nice back track again. If you’ve nothing to say don’t feel the need to keep replying.
