What is the most money you've spent on LOTTERY tickets in one shot?

Some ASSHAT just dropped $700 on scratch-off tickets in just over an hour. His whole friggin paycheck (I cashed it) WTF???

I worked retail for years and it never ceased to amaze me the number of folk who came in and spent an absolute fortune on lottery and scratchcards.
I'm sure some used to spend a good proportion of their income on them.

Did an experiment one year.
Given that there will only be one line on the lottery that wins (UK) I put £1 in a jar and spent £1 on the lotto Saturday, for a year !
Winnings totalled - £20. Savings totalled - £52
