Bringing plants home to grow. Yes I still bring plants home and even take cuttings of plants.
meggie · F
@Tastyfrzz you can buy rooting powder which encourages root growth
Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
@meggie yes, I am using it. Have them in fresh moist potting soil and covered win a sunny spot.

Chess as a teen, it was something that I could show off with. I think I peaked when our HS team had chess cheerleaders!

pvz
Top 1% of zombies killed in the world. I know it was an easy way to dissociate. The night one of my dogs was dying I was holding her in my arms and crying- not because she was dying, but because I couldn’t get pvz to load.
I know it was misplaced and I couldn’t handle reality at the time. I haven’t played in quite a while

Painting. I still paint, but not as much or with the intensity that I used to. Now, it is a 'now and then' activity, and one painting may take weeks to complete. I am in no hurry. When I begin, I am never sure where it will take me. When finished with a project, I mail it out to the one my heart says it belongs to. Not for praise or accolades, but for the simple joy of unexpectedly surprising friend. Several of my artworks have been framed and grace the walls of my friends' homes. Others, I'm unsure if they hang or have been disposed of. I
live too far away to know and I don't care enough to ask. Either way, I am content, and like to believe I've given a little joy, if only for a minute. 🤷🏼‍♀ There is so much too little unexpected joy in the wirld today.

Knitting. My skeins of yarn in all their colors and thread consistencies (I sent one friend two alpaca hats) was threatening to take over the world. I finally donated some of it.
WillaKissing · 61-69, M
Good question, but I would never say it got out of control, it just became a healthy passion and coping skill for me!

What is it, well my cross dressing!
@nobodyishome you said I made fun of someone, I'm asking who was that person?

Konsa gora?
nobodyishome · 31-35, F

@Ozuye502 millions of folk

Collecting celebrity navel lint. I kinda gave up after Megan Fox wanted hers back. I don't know why she got so upset. She was asleep when I took it.
swirlie · 31-35, F
@hunkalove
Though I am a celebrity in some people's mind, my navel has never been a worthy provider of navel lint for those who desire it, mainly because I possess one of those self-cleaning belly buttons!
i wouldnt really say out of control....... but, i did spend quite a bit of time fishing and playing golf.

i dont do either nearly as much as i used to. they both can get expensive if you let them.
Sapio · 51-55, M
My die-cast model collection, I haven't added anything to it in recent years.
Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
Baking and cooking. But then, like Fox, I found I had to find someone else to take it. It gets spendy. I guess leaning is ok but getting the supplies to do stuff is expensive takes up space. The skills i learned at King Arthur and other schools were useful. Things like sour dough, mirror glazes, and vienoiseies i did on my own. Cooking at the church is great for honing my knife skills. Making pancakes today at the lions club breakfast. Hope my gall stones stay quiet. My cookbooks focus mostly on technique and interactions of flavor. My recipes are in four or five binders but mostly i just consult the time and temperature charts i have clipped to the refrigerator door.

is not an obsession
All of them at some point and yes to some but no to others...
EldritchFox · 41-45, F
I'll make things obsessively, then realize I have no one to give them too.
