They decorate our post box with a knitted theme throughout the year, seasons and holidays etc. This is the summer theme, can't wait to see what the fall theme is. They are always different, I don't even know who makes them, they just appear and disappear.

@SomeMichGuy I have no idea, I doubt it's as old as that. The post box itself has probably been replaced itself a few times over the years it has been there.
