Might be getting into Flames of War soon

It's something different to paint/play. I'm looking at mid/late war Soviets, but I don't really know enough to figure out what exactly I want to do.

I have played flames of war. You should get a soviet book first to see what you want to build for an army.

@MrBrownstone So I'm gusseing the armies to play must be:

Britain
Soviets
Germany
USA
France

Does Japan have an army in this game?

@Burnley123 UK,Soviets,Germans and US are the most popular. France is hard to find as Flames of War don't make them any more. Same with Japan. But they have books as well as Hungary and Romania.

@MrBrownstone My plan is to get the V4 books Bagration, Berlin, and whatever one covers Stalingrad. Then the plan is to use as many bits interchangeably as I can - IS-2s wouldn't work in Stalingrad, but Shock Rifle groups should work in any period.

I don't play Warhammer games and I haven't since I was a teenager but somehow I'm still a geek for the dynamics. I love the world-building of 40K and its brilliant bleakness. I've also read some of the books,

I also like military history so (though I'm not a gamer) I find this post interesting. Please let me know about the mechanics, 😜

@Burnley123 I've never played a non-Warhammer game, but will let you know how it works when I find out :)

@KiwiDan They should combine the two: Soviet Space Wolves and German Emperor's Children.

@Burnley123 That would certainly be an interesting concept
