@Mysti technically, yes.
Television did in fact happen to them, but, in the early days of television, (circa late 1940's/early 1950's) more people still had radios, than they did, television sets, and many of the radio shows of the 1930's and 1940's, did carry over into the early-to-mid 1950's, and then as the years went on, television was more mainstream and radio shows, gradually became obsolete.
