I’m slim and I exercise and eat healthy. What’s going on?

Mine goes off the chart with any cuff, doctor office or home cuff😯🥺 I get so panicked it will be high my heart races. My doctor wants me on a med just for preventative reasons but it's normal range when relaxed. so I haven't taken it. But I might cave in and ask for lowest dose. She said if I get anxious in other areas like traffic, it can relax vessels.
Do you get super nervous...or it's high even you are calm? If the latter could be genetic ...ask for low dose med maybe?
Anxiety and a sexy nurse?

I've had my blood pressure suddenly go from perfect for months and stay there while in the hospital after being condescended to by a really shitty surgeon who took great pleasure in it.

Sometimes, stuff just goes haywire🤷🏾 maybe just the thought of it even possibly being high amped you up a bit? Not to mention they often seem to take it after you've only just arrived and had a bit of a brisk walk in their general direction.

Are you thinking about Miley? She raises my blood pressure!

Take a deep breath and exhale a few times before the nurse takes your BP and relax.

Genetic and same...turns out mine reacts quickly to salt...I dropped 20 lbs which worked and held the doc off for a few years - but I now have to take the meds...not so bad, and they work...and feel much more settled knowing it's under control....

Stating the obvious here but -
See your doctor.

Diet
Medication
Stress
Hereditary factors

Are the obvious causes.

Personally I think 99% of us live in a constant state of unease.

There's never enough money.
Never enough time.
Never enough relaxation.
Never enough sleep.
Way too many commitments to things that don't serve us well.

All contributing things.

My BP isn't high and never was but because of my cirrhosis of the liver, they are keeping it borderline low. I'm on a very low sodium diet. 🙆‍♀

idk that's not my area of expertise.. sigh was the nurse pretty?

Do you drink enough water and watch your salt? It can be a sign of another underlying condition too.

In a word? Genetics.
Harmonium1923 · 56-60, M
@uncalled4 Yeah, probably. Trying to avoid meds but probably a losing battle.

@Harmonium1923 My high blood pressure kicked in almost immediately after my dad's funeral.

Sorry I accidentally hit the wrong reaction at first.

Hopefully it’s just anxiety. 🤗
