A quirky question for nightshift staff at hospitals?

If a patient dies at 3am, do you phone their next of kin immediately to tell them or just say "oh leave it for the day shift" 🤭

Generally we next of kin are in a nearby waiting room trying to catch a few hours sleep among the anxiety of losing someone your life was built around. A phone call isn’t required.
