A friend of mine is laying in the hospital with encephalopathy of unknown origin.
She's an angel. My inspiration. She's older than me and guided my first steps in my carrer. She was there for me in tough times. Like an older sister. She's a ray of sunshine to anyone who knows her and I made sure she knew that everytime we talked.
Today however... I couldn't talk to her. They told me that once she sees someone she knows she gets agitated and starts recounting what happens to her (involuntarily) until she begins to convulse and have generalized seizures over and over again. They barely got her stabilized now.
It was heartbreaking to see and my tears won't stop.
And it's more heartbreaking to know that they still don't know the origin of the encephalopathy. It's still being investigated.
I hope she gets better. I love her and will never stop praying for her.
