I have decided to start an exercise routine after a long period of inactivity. I think yoga may be a good start. Any advice?

I'm 53 years old. Always had a busy life. My husband passed away in Feb. after a long battle with cancer. I guess I stayed fit just by taking care of him. Since he died I've lost 30 lbs and I am so flabby. Figure exercise may help me emotionally and physically. Advice and encouragement welcomed

I'm so sorry.... so sorry for your loss! I've not had anyone close to me pass but if u ever wanna talk let me know!

Exercise is a good start to get yourself back on track - seems like u have the right attitude! Yoga is good - i find although its gives u a great stretch & work out it doesn't seem like it & gives good mental strength too. Pilates too - walking is great - start slow & then in time u can quicken your pace etc.

It takes time & u will get there, as said if u ever wanna talk let me know but wish u all the best! Good luck!
