Breathe in through your nose for 4sec., hold your breath for 7sec. And exhale through you mouth for a count of 8. Do this a couple times. It helps.

Breathe deeply and slowly.
I have heard tapping a few times on your cheekbones helps.
If you can put on some soothing music, that do not allow you to think anything else but just listen to it, put that one.
Focus on slow and deep breathing.
