What happens to the foreskin after a circumcission ?
can you keep it ? like in a jar and give it as a present to your boy when he is 18 or something ?

ilovepeaches i work in operating theatre and it is put in the clinical waste it would have to be stored in preservative like formalin but we cannot do it

@smiler2012 are circumcissions done in clinics ? i am not familiar with these jeweish traditions but i thoguht some rabbi does it in the temple or at home and not in a clinic

@IlovePeaches Here in the United States, most boys (not just Jewish ones) routinely get circumcised. For non-Jews, this would happen shortly after birth, in the hospital, and it is done by a doctor. In Jewish tradition, there is a special minster called a Moil who performs the circumcision ceremony.

@IlovePeaches i have no idea if there is a clinic they can be done under local anaesthetic only on adults really but we do them rarely they put one percent lidnocaine in as local anaesthetic can be painful under local and may need a bit of infiltration to get the balance right for the patients comfort during the procedure
