Controversial, but I haven't seen a single post or comment from anyone under 30 on here who thinks COVID-19 is overhyped.

It seems that at least 65% of people over 30 take this virus seriously, but it seems that almost every single person *on here* under 30 is taking this virus seriously.

You can be offended by this post, but it's just my observations and inferences. And, if you are over 30 and take this virus very seriously, then note that I said 65% of people over 30 are taking this seriously, so you shouldn't be offended. And yes, I am aware of the idiots doing COVID parties.

More proof the education system has failed. The under 20 crowd don't know how to think for themselves.

@curiosi Maybe because they know they're not epidemiologists, so their thoughts on this virus are not informed and, therefore, they should listen to the people who know what they're talking about.

@33person Study history, obviously you have not.

@33person or maybe they are too lazy or to naive to do their own research , so they buy what they are fed, the all that thinking has been done for them , its easy to spoon feed it to them now 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

@curiosi I have. I have seen that in times when diphtheria and tuberculosis were spreading like crazy (late 19th century), the experts told people how we can be more careful. Back in those days, kids at school drank from a common cup, shared apples and gum and sweets, some students erased their shared slates with the aid of their saliva, mothers cleaned kids' faces with handkerchief and saliva, etc.
Health experts pushed for the banning of the use of slates in the classroom, pushed to teach kids not to lick their fingers to turn pages, pushed to teach office workers to use sponges to moisten their fingers to help them handle papers, etc.

And people have gotten vaccines.

And now, diphtheria and tuberculosis are both far less prevalent than they used to be. Yes, we have relaxed our habits since then somewhat, but our sensibilities have changed with regard to letting classmates drink from a common cup, erase with their saliva, etc. And due to vaccines, it is now rare for people to get TB and diphtheria. It happens, but when it does, it is less severe.

@33person that only shows that better hygiene = better health. With the invention of germ theory, all kinds of vaccines started popping up for every possible invented " virus" out there. And the multibillion vaccine industry was born.Anyway, not going to waste my time here anymore. All the best to your cousin.

@curiosi It appears he is a democrat

@SW-User Vaccines work too, not just hygiene. The U.S. is unique in how many people don't believe vaccines work. We're also unique in how much this country lets the industry get away with robbing us blind. It's not a coincidence.

@curiosi My condolences to you. You have no argument of substance, clearly.
