Is everyone okay with opening up society so soon?

Germany eased restrictions and the infection rate increased 3 fold.
The US death rate has jumped above 1500 cases a day, again.
House viewings are to resume in England.
I think it is way too early to open. but I am not doing it tough and only have cost of living expenses. No Bills.
So for those who have Family, Mortgages, and other bills to pay I can see the reasoning of opening up society, I hope that there is not a catastrophic infection rate increase as a result.

It depends on the end goal...

If the goal is to save the most life's, then absolutely we're opening back up too early.

If the goal is money or back to normal as quickly as possible, then it's too late, as the quickest way to let the virus go wild and hopefully the survivals will have some immunity to not be as effected in the future.

The fact of life is that you need to set priorities, and what is your priority, life's or money....

Most want to say life's, but the long term reality it's usually money with a lot of people.

But it all depends on your priority.

@Viper Trump's 'priority ?
Throw three TRILLION at business
.
....and not a dime at healthcare !

@Picklebobble2 I'm still wondering how much of that went to weathy businesses that didn't need it.

I called that it was going to happen well in advance.

As they always want to help out "small" businesses, which implies average Joe's in thought, but on paper just means companies with few employees, which can include a lot of really wealthy companies.

Also, I've heard (I don't know if this is true), that healthcare is already getting their cut from the federal government, as there are standing laws on the book that says they must help, and if they don't get paid via other methods, the government reimburses them.

@Viper I can understand why he'd do that. But to KEEP increasing it while this Coronavirus was 'in the post' ?????

@Picklebobble2 He seems to think it's disappearing soon, if you don't talk about it, it won't be a problem.

Also he just cares about the numbers and his reviews.

@Viper I don't understand why folk are just blindly accepting this and aren't mad as hell !
I know many here are with Johnson having changed his 'strategy' that many times already.

@Picklebobble2 Because people don't get mad when you give them free money...

Plus the political parties have effective worked together to cause their people to blindly hate the other party, where they're being flying blind and attack everything the other party does, and doesn't question a single thing when the parties work together

@Viper and all the while people are dying !
