Some are born that way, and others are products of their life experiences, and close off that part of themselves. Some are just ignorant, but can mature and become more empathic as they face learning experiences.

@ViciDraco to me, that really only applies if you are diagnosed psychopathic. Most people with a mental disability are more empathetic because they know what it’s like to experience pain and big challenges

@YoungPoet345 lack of empathy is basically a disability in a social species such as humans, is my essential view. Some mental health issues due bring more empathy. Narcissism, psychopathy, sociopathy are examples that bring less.
