What kind of physical problems do you struggle with especially?

Just trying to keep conversations rolling. 🤔Do you have diabetes? Osteoporosis? Heart problems? Asthma? As far as I know, I don’t really have anything especially wrong with me, except I’m sure if I had a more detailed physical they’d tell me I’m going deaf at a young age. I have had issues hearing dialogue while watching movies for years. Everyone says I have the tv on way too loud. I frequently find myself saying “what?” at work all the time. If I play music on my phone and even sometimes using the Bluetooth speaker, it’s often still not loud enough for my liking. 🤷🏻‍♀️
Epilepsy (seizures), and recovering hemiplegia (being paralyzed on half of my body) are my biggest issues. I guess I'm also 45% blind. Other than thst, I'm perfectly healthy. Lol

Maintaining dental health. Keeping within alcohol consumption guidelines. Keeping my beer gut down. Getting sufficient restful sleep, and getting relaxation while awake. Maintaining a social existence that would be considered mentally healthful. Breaking long-term unhealthy sedentary routines. Paying attention to a lifestyle that would promote longevity.
I have issues hearing movie dialogue too. I think it's because the high and low frequencies are louder that the voice frequencies so that the music and sound effects are prominent. Surround sound and subwoofers seem to make background noise much louder that dialogue. I turn my receiver/room speakers down and listen through the television.

I have moderate hearing loss. I've been struggling with this "minor" disability for my whole life.

I faced many challenges at school and in public throughout my childhood. In the past, no one had a clue that I have hearing loss. My family, teachers, and friends kept assuming that I wasn't focused or my ears have lots of earwax. But now the misconclusion has been solved.

According to an American otolaryngologist, I have to go under surgery or rely on a hearing aid. I could have afforded the hearing aid, but unfortunately, it was too expensive. But not as expensive as ear surgery.

I am old and can still do what I did at 24, but not as quickly and not without a bit of pain.
Fungirlmmm · 51-55, F
All of the above except osteoporosis and then a few others, but I do just fine most days.

Physical? I'm a little overweight, but otherwise I'm ok.

Aside from occasional lower back pain I'm pretty good. 🤞

I have Hashimoto's hypothyroidism which results in a bunch of cascading autoimmune crap. I just recently developed allergies to things that have never bothered me before. Autoimmune disorders are among the most rapidly expanding health issues globally.

On top of the regular aches and pains I've got a bad shoulder. I believe I tore something several months back and it's hard to get my right arm into certain positions. I'm thinking now it's never gonna heal completely.

Hypothyroidism, a little arthritis, and a pesky pain problem from a procedure I had years ago, but there’s a fix for that and the first two are manageable so I’m not bad off. 👍

Stomach ulcers, heart murmurs and random pulpitations, anxiety attacks, I have low blood pressure and I’m prone to fainting at random.

Nothing serious, just some troubling things that can make life difficult if I let it, but for the most part, I manage.

I have liver problems and i have struggled with low platelets in the past. Other than that though, i’m pretty healthy i think.

Migraines

I've had my nose broken a few times and can only breathe out of one nostril. My right arm is bent and about three inches shorter than the other. And having had a handful of concussions there will be (thankfully rare) times where stuff gets a little mixed up. In other words, sports can have some downsides. Otherwise, perfect health.

I'm, at the risk of stating the bleeding obvious, ever had your ears checked? It could be something simple like a wax buildup or you may just need hearing aids, which my dad has ... :)
Thebestof1995 · 26-30, F
I’ve had them checked during a normal checkup. I had a lot of ear infections as a child, and I’ve always wondered if that had something to do with it. They were looking to see if I had any scar tissue on my eardrum. There wasn’t any. 🤔 @ozgirl512

@Thebestof1995 ok... Start with the simple things :)

@Thebestof1995 I've been suprised at the easy improvement from over-the-counter wax removal drops. I can feel the bubblingof the blocking wax dissolving and then immediately hear a slight circulation of air like that inside a seashell.

Too many to list to be honest.
I’m diabetic, but not insulin dependent. And I’ve been managing it fairly well.
