Indeed, and the child unwittingly incubating that disease has probably also infected others similarly unprotected.
Sadly there are too many of the unqualified quacks - "doctors" with false qualifications, show-business celebrities inventing silly dietary or fitness fads.... All for money.
One PM correspondent had been trying to persuade me to read some book about diet for inordinate longevity - then recently learnt the author had bought his medical "degree" from someone in Belize.
