Yes all anti depresssants have the risk of suicidal thoughts or tendencies. I'd advise getting your perscription adjusted.
Dragonfly · 36-40, M
@PierreDelecto Yes, I think going from 60 to 120mg was a bit much. Hopefully she can help me out.

@Dragonfly Yeah that'll rattle the brain chemistry a bit that's like dropping a hydrogen bomb to kill an ant.

@Dragonfly Still more stress. Just for the immediate future - do something positive. Go out for pizza with your son - or a cheerful movie - or make popcorn and talk.
Breathe.
Understand that nothing has to be decided tonight.
There's time for healing. It just doesn't happen as fast as we wish.

@Mamapolo2016 I think I'll take my son back to the park. Fresh air would be nice.
Mamapolo2016 · F
@Dragonfly Yes it would. Stop and take some food. Have a picnic. Toss a ball around.

Whatever you do, do NOT stop it on your own. I was on it years ago for nerve and joint pain. I weaned off as I was told to and had still had serious side effects. I no joke thought I was dying from the pain I felt and mentally, a dr thought I was having a stroke and I ended up w/Trigeminal Neuralgia from it shocking my system- it’s permanent and known to be one of the worst painful conditions around.
Are you on any other meds? One of my best friends took her life right after a diff dr added a med too high of a dose that shouldn’t have been mixed w/the Cymbalta.. Please see a Dr, that stuff is no joke. My friend would never have done that off the meds, I pushed it and the fam found out it was the meds and got a lawyer.

@MellyMel22 I wasn't referring to you. I meant family members. They want to help me, but they're very religious, and they don't understand mental health really well.
MellyMel22 · F
@Dragonfly I figured you meant offline 😅
Dragonfly · 36-40, M
@MellyMel22 Yes! I'm always worried if I offended someone or not. I just wanted to make sure.

Call your doctor, and if they aren't available call another. Don't go cold turkey unless you are told to do so.
Butterflykisses24 · 51-55, F
Antidepressants can and do have those effects. Its meant to help depression but sometimes wrong one makes it worse.Call your Dr.My daughter was on antidepressants and no matter which one it caused her those effects. Now she's on mood stabilizer.Much better results.

Wouldn't you be better asking a Dr rather than a bunch of retards on SW
Bushmanoz · 61-69, M
@ExtremeNext hey!, I didn't even comment, why drag me into it?
Dragonfly · 36-40, M
@ExtremeNext I'm seeing her tomorrow. I was just curious if anyone has had a similar situation with this medication.
