i find aspirin works really well for me for tooth pain. better than advil. (i dont take tylenol)
MyPokerFace · 51-55, M
Oh no..! I am so Sorry that youre going through that. There really is no home remedy to take the pain away completely. To endure such a twinge is brutal.. I have found that drinking enough alcohol numbs the central nervous system to ease that pain.
I'm just sayin...worked for me!
Feel better....

Clove oil as has been suggested. Most of us don't have it on hand however soooooooooooo.. You can crush up several cloves in a little olive oil and apply to the area. You can also just place a clove between the cheek and gum. Cloves help to numb the area.

Oil of Clove ,,aka "red cross tooth ache medicine "
Its not expensive ,its in a tiny white box with a tiny brown bottle
But be careful to only get a small amount directly on the cavity
It burns like hell if you get it anywhere else

make a mug of super salty hot (but not too hot, don't burn yourself) water and let it sit in a pool around the site of the erupting wisdom tooth. then spit it out, and repeat. don't swallow it, because too much salt.

anbesol(benzocaine), clove oil, really cold water (painful at first but reduces the swelling of the nerve so it feels good after you do it)
